what not to name your dog

Wow, its been a crazy couple weeks. My parents have been in town and its forced me to leave the house. Now I'm tired and my pea seeds in the ground, so I wont be doing much for a few days.

I am feeling good lately though. My biggest complaint is that I feel really stupid and slow. I'm hoping this 'brain fog' as they call it isn't going to be permanent.

Yesterday Sam told me, "Mom, your famous for forgetting things." Great.

I have had a hard time with with my moms' dogs' name, Babe (we have her for another month) . Since this is what Josh and I call each other, its made for a few awkward moments. Like I said, Im a little slow, so I get very offended when I hear Josh say things like:

"Babe, get off of my bed!!" or "I hate your hair Babe!" or "Get away from me, Babe." "Sit Babe." "Babe, stay in the kitchen." "You smell bad Babe, time for a bath."

Luke hugs Babe (and yes, thats a booger by his nose, artificially colored food on his chin, and a black eye).

Luckily Rob and I don't call each other "Babe"--when we take her from you next month, we'll clear up the confusion.

Aren't dogs great! At least Kevin knows I am talking to Millie, and not him. Thanks for the laugh!

That is hilarious... I can only imagine the confusion that must cause at times, lol!

What picture of a little boy wouldn't be complete without the random boogie, black eye, and food all over the face?

If my husband started to respond to "penny lane" i'd REALLY worry about a "brain-fog" there. I love the picture... booger and all!

When we had a Dog he was not in the house so that made it better but are dog name was "What a mess" this fit him good and the had Lucky but What a mess we had to put to sleep he was a terrier / poddle mix and his hair would knot up and the people who had him before named him we had him for about 9 years he was a good dog we miss him but he got so bad we had to put him to sleep and that was really hard. I know your boys will be said when you no longer have the dog. so be carefull when you give him up.

Great story, Alisa. Better luck with Josh's next pet name.

you are so funny, I just love you! And your little guy is so cute, boys are cool like that. Some girls are wanting to get together from the Wyview ward next week if you are feeling up to it. It would be fun if you and kim came. I would love to see you guys! Let me know!

I showed Clementine the picture of Luke and said, "Look, he's got a boogie on his face." She said, "Alisa needs to wipe it off, I can help her!" Hilarious.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you were notoriously forgetful in college. Remember when we shared a room and I would always have to find your glasses for you before we left for class? I love that about you.

There are worse dog names out there, by the way. When I was growing up, our mut's (she really was a mut) name was "Kinky". Before you think we were naughty children, we named her that for her kinky black hair, but regardless... it's a winning name.

I guess it's okay to name a dog "Kinky" when she mates with the neighbors dog, (who happens to be her own father) on a number of occasions. Let's just say that a few of her puppies didn't turn out quite right.

Is that too much information???

I am so glad to hear that you and Babe are doing well:) We miss both of you in our neighborhood. And the your good news about the last test results are terrific!! Scott always complained about being forgetful, and his dr. told him there really is such a thing as chemo brain. I always thought it was a good excuse...and it sounds like it from what your roommate said. haha. Don't be discouraged. You are doing better than most of us if you have peas planted. I loved the story about Babe and Luke is a doll, dirty face and all. He wouldn't be a little boy without it. You rock!! Keep up the good work.

In retrospect, I think we should have named our dog "Underfoot"
Good to see your sense of humor again.
