things just work out after all

Things have been good lately.

One year ago I was saying to myself "one year ago I was so happy, so healthy, so busy....etc." I couldn't believe how different things were. Heck, last fall I had a disgusting tube sticking out of my leg draining disgusting fluid-I think for six weeks. So gross! And then a month of a tube in my arm. No baths. Even grosser!

Now I'm saying, "one year ago I was so depressed, so sick, there was nothing but hospital visits on my calendar...etc." I cant believe how different things are today.

I am in a way better place.

I went back to the hospital last month for a routine exam. I think I would have been fine if it wasn't snowing. That's what it did I swear every day I traveled to Salt Lake last December. It played tricks on my mind that I was about to get sick and tired. I pretty much had a panic attack while in the waiting room, and came home and slept all afternoon. Just like last year.

My Dr. said to take 2 ativan when I come in for my next scheduled scans in February. Thank you, I think I will.

So here is a small video I made for my family film festival. I did it in a rush and couldn't find a lot of my footage from the year (like Luke's 3rd birthday where he was incredibly adorable), but anyway this songs always tops the most played on my ipod. LOVE it!

The video wouldn't work for me. It's probably all the better because it just makes me cry. I'm glad you are doing so much better.

Alisa, I think you were inspired to post what you did just for my benefit. I won't bore you with the details, but I really needed to see that video and hear what you had to say about life being better. Thanks so much. It made me cry happy tears. Your family is so beautiful! I went right away to i- tunes and downloaded that song!

Have you seen the movie Castaway? It's one of my favorite movies because of its message. Your post made me think of the speech Tom Hanks gives near the end of the film about ice in his glass. I've watched that part over and over. If you haven't seen it, you should.
It's really the perspective we should all have. "After all, tommorrow is another day!" (to quote another famous character)

So you won right? :)

After a marvelous deep post, let's be superficial for a moment: I never saw a picture of your cute haircut and it is pretty dang cute if I do say so myself. It helps to be drop dead gorgeous (inside and out), let's be honest, and can have any haircut you please. Darn you. :P

And don't get me started on your lawn...

I am so glad you posted this. The Marinos family just kept talking about seeing this at Thanksgiving and how wonderful it was, and I was beginning to feel jipped.

Now I've had my morning cry, and all is right with the world.

Your family is beautiful. We are grateful for you guys, and so happy you are in such a better place. We went to the DC Temple lights tonight, and when we came home, Savannah said, "I really miss my cousins, Mom."
