Yesterday I was wondering why this recovery was taking so long. A mother with a C-section would taking care of a newborn at this stage. Today I got to sweep my own floor and sit in the sunshine.
I took your advise and watched 'the last lecture'-loved it. Also watched Crazy, Sexy, Cancer. Lots of things to think about. They don't do any treatment on her type of cancer, so she just goes around looking for alternative ways to help slow it down. I think that was good for her. But she never turned to God to get any answers or peace. Faith in food alone doesn't seem like enough.
I'm also going to give Bella another chance tonight. This time on Lortab.

We may have been taking care of our newborns at this stage, but some of us were still relying on neighbors and friends to help with the other kids. We still hurt and we still walked slowly. Getting in and out of bed was always a chore. Richard would come out into the living room, both Josh and I would be crying and he would say -- " I don't know who to help" So while healing takes time, time will heal. We love you and your tenacity.
I think you should give the book one more chance. The second book is a little less gripping when you don't know if E is still around... but alas, he returns and things are good! I think Lortab is fantastic and I take no shame in enjoying those times that I am on it!

okay, got it! My problem was, I read your last post, but not all the comments. Also, I'm a bit forgetful. But I love you!
A mom who had a c-section would most assuredly NOT be up and about taking care of business a week after major surgery--you gotta trust me on that. Not unless she was HEAVILY medicated and had no help at all. Give yourself a break. Enjoy your help and you chance to read and glory in semi-slothfulness. You've probably never done that in your whole life.
I missed crazy, sexy, cancer, but I did get to just sit with Nate and talk with him. We talked about being excited to come home and hopefully be a help to you. We pray for you constantly and love you like mad.
Maybe I would have liked Twilight better if I had been on Lortab. It didn't do anything for me totally sober. And don't worry about comparing yourself to people with c-sections or anyone else or that matter. One thing I've discovered this year is that comparing trials, whether its who has it worse or who's coping better, is irrelevant. We all do the best we can and we all take it a day at a time.
Forget Bella... think Edward!!!
I don't know if you read my comment a while back but I check in often to read your updates, you are a very inspiring person! I watched the Opera that you have discussed and while I was watching it I was hoping you were too! Funny that you mentioned it! I also read the Twilight books and was quite taken with Edward and I wanted him to be in the whole second book, so keep reading as all have already said.
Just want to say 'Amen' to what Heather said! You're doing your best and that's all anyone can do.
