What are the odds

Josh called home the other day "Hi!" "Hi" "How are you feeling?......cancerous?" Its kind of funny how differently we see my little situation. I guess he has always been the optimist in the relationship. For example, I have done my research and my odds of dying in the next five years are 1 in 4. When I shared this with Josh he was ecstatic, "So its 3 of 4 you'll be alive!" This from the same guy who signs up for every drawing or sweepstakes he can get his hands on and truly believe hes going to win something from it. You gotta love him.

Years before Diane Clark was diagnosed with MS she complained she had "brain damage" After she was diagnosed I would introduce her as my "brain damaged" friend. Josh may have inherited a demented view of disease.

Those are odds good enough to bet on in Vegas.

Josh is so cute!! I've always thought what a great match you make. I think you'll find that during times like these, Josh knows just what to say or just what to do. I really believe that trials like this bring couples closer together and they help to bring your family closer. I'm not quite ready to call you my cancerous friend, I'll just keep calling you "girlfriend", much to James' confusion.
I keep calling your house. Maybe your phone is still not working. YOU DON'T NEED TO CALL ME BACK! I just wanted to let you know I've been thinkin' about you. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Aren't husbands the best? I am grateful you have someone so great to take care of you. I love you and my bet's on the 3.

Statistics are dumb. I hate 'em.

Josh is awesome! I totally noticed his optimism when I was staying with you guys. Seriously, give me a call if you guys ever need anything!

I was reading about a lady who got Hep C from a blood transfusion in 1971 who died this week. I'm with Josh: I think you're going to be around a long time, but she said being aware of her own mortality for so long helped her live a better life.

Alisa-I never look at the sweet pictures you took of my little granddaughters and not think of your kindness during a very difficult day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
